Finally my wedding pictures are all ready and here is my little diary of the best day of my life!

We did so many DIY paper art work for this event..everything arty was hand drawn and printed from scratch!

And of course my blinking cinderella slippers

And behold the MR of my life!

We had 2 talented sketch artists who received praises for their great portrait sketches...

Remember our ex intern Hilda?

Johanna from Ownmuse made me a custom made matching bracelet for my dress! And this dress took us a month to bead with more than 10 differents beads and pearls. Jo, Shuang, Michelle are the angels of my dress as they helped me so much and we were even beading the night before the wedding.

My evening dress was inspired by my favourite movie "An affair to remember" and I totally heart every part of it!

Mathilda sang the most beautiful song "La Vie En Rose" by Edith Piaf for us.

My hero shared a story of how he may not be my shiny knight but can be the horse that carries the princess...awww..

The best dance of the night was with my dad.

All cheers to all our guests for being so sporting in donning on our king and queen paper crowns!

Soulmate

Gosh, it's just 2 more weeks before I thee wed my best friend! Can't wait and crossing my fingers my dress will be done soon and my prince charming will twinkle when he sees me sparkle down the aisle!

Everyone needs a pair of T-strap heels and I found my darling in Paris during our mission trip in a tiny vintage shop! Its like cinderella moment when it fitted me to the tee! I can't wait to step into it and dance my way around:)

I always wanted a song that is sweet yet dreamy for my church wedding and I just found this ultra sweet version of Connie singing my favourite tune "Somewhere over the rainbow" for my wedding processional song when my dad walks me down the aisle! Awww..

Wedding Diary: We are the stars!

Just received the pictures of our pre wedding shoot and boy are they lovely! Having never wanted a shoot to this was just pure fun:) I guess the best part of it all were all the props, outfits and laughter we shared with nature love.

Ha..I made him do a proposal pose so I'll never forget this moment with a rock candy ring:)

We spent the whole day just running, jumping, flying the kites, posing and doing silly faces!

And my proudest moment was wearing my own self made "minnie mouse" bow veil with such joy! This has to be my favourite picture out of 230 shots Gina took of us!

This shoot cannot be possible without enchanting Phuket, Gina Smith a brilliant New Zealand photographer based in Phuket and my two very stunning make up artists:) Will get their names real soon!

As I make some last minute preparation for our trip, I decided to make my own little bow veil as inspired by this photo! Isn't this pretty and so very lovely:) I can't wait to wear it and spin around.. My parents think I look like minnie mouse:P

Wedding Diary: Utter Disappointment

This evening, my partner and I were really excited to go for some gown hunting and we're hoping to get a really nice cheong san or evening inspired piece. As we're heading towards Orchard Hotel for some wonderful japanese food, we thought it will be great to visit Francis Cheong, one of Singapore's biggest name in couture evening gowns!

Stepping into the shop was the biggest mistake ever simply because of the following conversation I had with their sales staff who was in her 50s. After viewing some beautiful pieces, I asked if I could try one on and imagine my horror when she replied rudely.

Me: Hi, can I try on this lovely gown?

Sales staff: it's 12k you know! (With that look that says are you sure you can afford this!)

Me: (Looking confused why when I didn't ask for the price but for a chance to try) Sure can I please try it?

Sales staff: We're closing, you need appointment to try. And she went on and added the dress you see is sample and we can't let you try cause it is torn. We got a customer who ordered it already.

Me: (At that point looking really dismayed that this beautiful gown had cuts and holes on it and it's displayed on the racks!!!!)

Me: Oh sure, could I have your name card please.

Sales Staff: (Giving me the unwilling look and she passed me the designer card) She added that everything here starts from 5k ya. Our designer will be around when you call for your appointment.

WOW! Is this what you call service to your customers? What a way to impress as my respect for the brand has went from as glitzy as the sparkle on the dress to as low as the hemline of the dresses.

Wedding Diary: I found my Tea Ceremony/Dancing dress!

After a mad rush of Fashion Festival and a bolt of sickness that just flew me by, I am now taking baby steps to prepare for my big day!!! And to kick start things, I decided to pamper myself and I got a really OMGAWSHY cocktail dress from Notte Marchesa:) For the damage, I am planning the number of times I can wear that statement dress which has,you know my favourite details, bows and roses! Next up is settling our catering services..

I've heard so many sharing about how prepping for the wedding is such a nightmare! So we decided to engage the very lovely and pretty Melissa from Wonderland to coordinate our very down to earth wedding! I'm so excited as we went through so many beautiful inspirational pictures and I'm like.. I want this and that and omg we must have that! Ha..
