Our shop is Open!

Yesterday was the official launch of Parco Next Next and our shop had a special gust! The guest of honor of the event visited our store.
That's me smiling with joy at the shop opening!
Some pictures of the shop and that is Belle wearing Tanya Graphic Top and Carrie Black Skirt.

Our cozy fitting room!
And that is Betty wearing Carmen Cream Dress surrounded by all the love and support from so many sweet people who gave us congratulatory flower bouquets. I heart the one from Soon Lee because it was in yellow blooming roses!

A little corner to rest one's feet.
Our display of accessories to complement our collections.

Chalk Set Up

Fixing the logo was quite challenging as we had to do a A1 size PVC sticker and ensure that the placement was straight and visible.
The masking tape there was to ensure that the logo was aligned.
I love acrylic and I knew I wanted to add that element into the shop so I thought of a panel wall display using different length of acrylic to create that glassy effect.
Me climbing up the stairs to secure them.
Me removing the cover from the acrylic and hooking it on with the clips.
We custom made our clothing racks to fit the black and white theme of our shop.

Here is the delivery of our clothing racks picked up by my Uncle.
And we gave the chandelier a new coat of paint for our fitting room.
If you find this chandelier familiar, that's because it was once in Swirl Boutique.
The setting up process was really fun and enjoyable! But it cannot be possible without the support and help of my family and friends who came by to cheer and lend a hand.

Mural Fantasy

When we started brainstorming for the shop decor, we knew that we would love to collaborate with a local artist for a wall mural but we had no idea who to approach! One day as we were surfing Culturepush, we chanced upon the adorably awesome work of April. So we sent her an email with eager anticipation for any collaboration possibility!
She agreed and she also chipped in another talented friend of hers, Siew who drew the cool collage designs accompanying Miss Chalky.
This was their initial sketch on paper before they sized it up 4 times bigger.
Working really hard with no air-con was a really challenging process!

And we added the surprise in the fitting room with Miss Chalky sitting on a mushroom.
And I came into the picture to help ink the parts black. Siew ticked the parts to be black and I am known as the "inker".

Here is April with her new cropped bob and looking great:) She is fixing the clouds with velvet ribbons for a 3-D effect!

And after 3 and a half days of hard work, many black markers and paints. bubble milk teas and strings of laughter. The wall mural is completed and I just want to Thank April and Siew for their talented input and all the hard work! You guys made the shop more beautiful than I can ever imagine!

Treasure Hunting 2

Me beaming away as I found this great looking rattan chair in perfect condition at Salvation Army. We tried fitting it in the store and it goes well with the whole shop decor! Come see it for yourself soon:)

A small note

We just received our shop name card today! And oh no, the font is so tiny we need a binoculars, hoping and praying that the printing shop can help us do a re-print!

The Art of Logo

Be first to see our handwritten and handmade logo at Parco Next Next! Here I am measuring the spacing and doing the alignment of the logo in precise care.
Before I paste it on the wall, I have to first cut out the printed PVC sticker specially for wall decals by doing some markers, cutting and trimming.
And here I am cutting it into the final shape! At this point, I am so nervous about doing the logo as it has to be proportionate and of the right thickness and size! Visit our store to see how our logo fits on our wall!

Shop Update

Just last week, we went to our shop site! The basic shell of the space is finally ready and we went there trying to visualize how the shop will look like! This was another idea we wanted but due to high cost for making these steel boxes we decided to kiss it goodbye!

Shop Concept 1

Our very talented interior designer created this really cool store plan but because our budget is pretty tiny so we have to sadly bid it goodbye but we thought you might enjoy admiring his concept!
