Just a sneak!

We had a fun time shooting our FALL 2011 collection entitled "Bon Voyage Marlene" just a couple of days ago and despite us running up and down looking exhausted, our beautiful model Stephanie from Paris looks smashingly stunning all the time! And of course this is our favourite Marlene dress we absolutely adore:)

Heart Beating Stop
Our hearts literally stopped beating as we saw the awesome stop motion video Carisia and Yanrong did for our cruise collection! Here, I'm learning in awe of how they did it with such ease and we CANNOT WAIT to debut this beautiful work of art at our Blueprint 2011 this coming Thursday!

Countdown to SUMMER 2011: MIMI POLYGON PLAYGROUND
We went for a chic bun up look with bright orange red lips for a good balance with the prints and patterns we had on our designs! As usual, we could not have done it without our talented makeup artist Yanti Huang who also did the donut hair bun:)

Behind the Scenes: Preparation for CHALK BDAE BASH!

If you passed by our shop these few days and was wondering why we're stitching in such concentration, it's all because of the door gift we have specially prepared for our guests this Sat! To make it more exclusive, we only made 50 of them from scratch with lots of love!

Together with the bow tie brooch, we've coupled in some more stuff in our goodie bag! So we went shopping, running, stamping and playing with ribbons and we're proud of how they all turned out! Just 2 more days, and we have lots of steaming, running, tagging and decorating to work on as we hope our goodie bag brings a smile to everyone who swings by!

Imagine my surprise when our previous intern Hilda told me the happiest news ever! She is willing to help me for a month and boy do we need her help!:)

Behind the Scene- Dreams of Pandora

I totally missed out sharing some behind the scenes pictures of the shoot with you guys! Firstly, the shoot could never go on so smoothly and well without a few wonderful people! I'll start with Karyn from Tsilli first:) She so generously showed her beautiful home to us and granted us a peek into her enchanting world!

Here I am with Emily our bubbly model from Perth and Karyn herself!

And our hero of the day was Tommie the puppy who stole the limelight and appeared as a star in many of our pictures!

I have my most trusted makeup artist Yanti who always work her magic on the models and she is honestly real fun to hang around with!

How can a shoot go on without accessories?! Here we have a great range which you have seen in our look book all from Icing Accessories!
And here is a final shoot of everyone involved! Warren you're the genius seriously:)

Thank you guys so very much:) I had a ball of time that day!!!

Snaps
Just some behind the scene pictures of the fashion show at Nafa a few days ago, all shot by lovely Hilda:) It was the first time we showcased 20 designs on stage and we heard one model kicked the heels off the stage and continued to catwalk tiptoe-ing away! That's what I call professional models! Soon I'll post more pictures and maybe a video of the show when the cd is out!

Anders very sweetly helped to create this video collage for me and big thanks to my aunt Joanna for shooting the scenes as I got busy with the shoot! Pardon the camera resolution, we promised it will get better each season:)

Did you know?

Ever wondered how we come out with our designs? We love tucking details in our garments and I thought how about creating a newer version of the dress I designed and won for Fresh Graduate Showcase in 2007.

The trapeze shape and tucks remains but we updated it with a sleeve trimming with a ribbon belt attached and we're so happy customers are loving the look as much as we do too!

Chalk Set Up
Fixing the logo was quite challenging as we had to do a A1 size PVC sticker and ensure that the placement was straight and visible.
The masking tape there was to ensure that the logo was aligned.
I love acrylic and I knew I wanted to add that element into the shop so I thought of a panel wall display using different length of acrylic to create that glassy effect.
Me climbing up the stairs to secure them.
Me removing the cover from the acrylic and hooking it on with the clips.
We custom made our clothing racks to fit the black and white theme of our shop.
Here is the delivery of our clothing racks picked up by my Uncle.
And we gave the chandelier a new coat of paint for our fitting room.
If you find this chandelier familiar, that's because it was once in Swirl Boutique.
The setting up process was really fun and enjoyable! But it cannot be possible without the support and help of my family and friends who came by to cheer and lend a hand.
