Meet Mina!

I got to know Mina through Serene from To the Nines and before we met, she styled Sally dress in black for one of her shoots! Through our conversation, I found out that she was one of the judging panel who judged for the Topshop/Topman award in 2007 when she was at Female Magazine! And she just started her blog which is filled with great articles on her take on fashion and many fabulous freebies too!

Mina now a freelance writer, stylist and editor popped by just a few hours ago and she is way cool and so bubbly!! Love the way she talks and you can literally see sparkles in her eyes when she talk about fashion! She gave me some really good pointers on how to improve my designs too:) Most importantly, it's just awesome to meet someone who is so passionate in promoting local designers!! We need more people like her!

Met Magic

My favourite gown of Met Ball 2010 is Naomi Watts raspberry wine gown by Stella McCartney.

Next will be Marion Cotillard in this glittery shimmer gown by Christian Dior, my gosh she looks so sparkling good, just like her role as Edith Piaf.

And this is the best I've seen of Jessica Alba in Sophie Theallet for Gap!

Love this simply because it's got lace, fur, leggy effect and so black! Elizabeth Banks in Gucci Black Magic.

Love what Bee Shaffer is wearing (Balenciaga Edition)! Would love to see the gown in person, am sure it's very intricate in beading!

And Chloe Sevigny in Proenza Schouler (with the designers) never fails to nail it all the time!

Meet Caroline!

On Monday, as I stepped into To the Nines to check on my stock inventory with Gen (She is wearing a beautiful piece by Pauline). In came the very tall and stylish Caroline Issa from Tankmagazine. She so sweetly spoke to both of us as I asked her about her trip to Singapore. And she told us she wanted to check out the local designers from Singapore before she flies off that afternoon. Imagine my surprise, when I received her tweet and a personal email from her wishing me best of luck for my brand!

I shrieked AHHH!! Luvvv ur dress when Christel walked into our shop! Love the whole polka-dotty goodness dress with her bag in my favourite detail all in one! She told me everyone has that same reaction when they see her in it! It's from H&M, darn when will they hit our sunny shore?

Meet Shiho from Japan! Love the way she coordinates purple and grey with tan leather accessories! Best of all, she speaks really good English as she was based in NZ for 3 years before coming to S'pore to work! Who says you can't layer clothes in our tropical climate!

Meet Denise who came in to our shop and look soooo good! I spotted her gorgeous looking pattern tights and her lust worthy belt! This lady makes black look so chic and I think she is one good looking lawyer in town!

Sweet Moments

Rain who showered me with Easter egg just a few weeks back came by today and this time she surprised me with chocolate macaroons from Bakerzin ! Ahhhhh I am beyond touched, grateful and speechless. And she is looking really sweet here in Carmen black skirt and I'm in Francesa black dress with the sweet goodies from her in my hand.

To rain: "You totally made my day and thanks so much, please just come by whenever you're free to chat with me and please no more gifts! My turn to shower you with goodies!!!"

If I can wake up looking like someone, I will choose to be Dita who is looking so refreshing chic and that hat, lips and frills are to die for!!!

Glamourai is seriously the coolest blogger ever! This outfit really nailed everything I love! From stripes, polka dots, bows, black and that ultra uber long legs that I wish I have:) Did I forget to mention she designs really beautiful accessories too!!!! Ah, some girls just have it all!

I love the way she thinks!

"When it rained, I designed a trenchcoat. When it was cold, I did a coat. I followed my instincts. I knew absolutely nothing about fashion," she has explained. Rykiel attributes this to designing to individually and functionally cater to women rather than according to fashion trends.
