Every year end, Parco stages a great finale show on the designers best work and this year we're so thrilled our favourite brands like Coupe Cousu, Ownmuse, UNCVRD etc are showing their latest collections! Our show ended off with a thunder of claps as Mathilda stormed the runway with such confidence! Dick Lee who happened to watch the show had his eyes glued on her as Mathilda was once the runner up of Singapore Idol when he was judge!

Our very first show at The Tent at PARCO NEXT NEXT Audi Fashion showcase was simply awesome because of so many people! Particularly my star models Mathilda D'sliva, Karen and her daughter Kayley and Clara for being the face of CHALK despite their first attempt at modelling! Right after the show, we're thrilled to read this article by Niki writing about how fun it was watching a local fashion show and why!

Presenting CHALK Life Size Doll!

The actual outfit will be revealed on 3th of May! Follow our blog and see what outfit we've used for our doll!

We have always loved the idea of a paper doll and this May, we will be having our very first LIFE SIZE DOLL which you can model in at the side walk of Mandarin Gallery. It's happening from the 3th of May to 22th of May 2011! To win some attractive prizes, all you need to do is take a picture of yourself in one of the life size doll standee and share why or what you like about the designer/brand on PARCO facebook page!!

The Next Show

In just a few hours time, the stage will be lit up for a showdown for all the designers at PARCO NEXT NEXT and the new designers coming onboard too. We just came from the full dress rehersal and boy the show looks swell!!!! Everyone's outfit looks fab..lurveee the new waterfall location!

Where we were

Just a few hours ago was the Nation Pride event happening at Millennia Walk Grand Hall! It's really lovely catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and just soaking in the atmosphere! Here I am with a lady looking really chic in her short cropped hair in Tanya graphic top! She told me she's coming for this event so she is dressed to the nines in support local! Big thanks and smiles:) And I'm wearing Francesa black jumpsuit with my ever lasting red lippy!

The Red Moment

This is CHALK's Nation Pride outfit! We re-made it in a luxurious red sheen jersey in the ever popular Sally dress style. Why this design?

On our Nation's birthday, we specially designed a versatile and multi way dress that represents the unique and diverse culture of our country. With every twist and turn for a new look, it symbolizes how Singapore has transformed and developed into such a stunning cosmopolitan country of today! This is a limited edition outfit designed specially for Nation Pride event.

Come by Millienna Walk soon to take a look at this installation all the designers worked so hard to put together! Dreams of Pandora: Part 2

Fiona dress comes in Sky Blue, Blush Pink and Jet Black. The ribbon sash is detachable and can be worn on the shoulders or as a belt.

Hilda dress comes only in Jade Green. The yellow fabric has sold out hence it didn't make it into production.

Stamp of Pride

Here's a glimpse of the upcoming Nation Pride installation! All designers have to make our own paper boats filled with details about our inspiration and brand philosophy. Every one of them is handmade so if you're there at the event, remember to pick up one of the boats and give it a good read! Btw, it's also my first time making a paper boat:P

PARCO Nation Pride Event

Not sure if anyone of you know but Parco will be organizing a Nation Pride event where each designer from Parco Next Next will design an outfit that speaks of their love for Singapore. It's going to be a huge installation happening at Millennia Walk and customers can choose which is their favourite design and there will be a private party happening next week!

Dress code: Come support this event in any Singaporean designer ware!

Must read for Ice Cream Fans!

The other day, the boss of Galta- Italian Artisan Gelato came by our shop and called out my name. Gosh I really didn't know he follows our blog! And we chatted and boy am I impressed and more in love with their ice-cream! Through our chat, I found out that it's no mass produced ice cream at all!

Every flavour is hand made in Singapore in the morning before the mall opens and all their ingredients and that spinning ice cream display are from Italy. Wow..talk about authentic quality! Right after this post, I'm heading for my dark chocolate and spicy mint dessert! Did I mention that the prices are really good too?

Sweet Moments

Rain who showered me with Easter egg just a few weeks back came by today and this time she surprised me with chocolate macaroons from Bakerzin ! Ahhhhh I am beyond touched, grateful and speechless. And she is looking really sweet here in Carmen black skirt and I'm in Francesa black dress with the sweet goodies from her in my hand.

To rain: "You totally made my day and thanks so much, please just come by whenever you're free to chat with me and please no more gifts! My turn to shower you with goodies!!!"

3 Power Ladies

We're so thrilled when Serene, June and Genevieve from To The Nines came by dressed in our designs and looking so fabulous and gorgeous after attending the Blueprint show at the Pit building. Here, Gen is dressed in Ownmuse cut out cropped top with Desmond Yang tube dress with the very sweet Johanna.

And Mae so badly wanted a picture with Serene who was wearing a gorgeous black ensemble by her but Serene was camera shy. You have to visit Serene at her shop to catch her stylish dress up!

And of course June who looks way lovely in Dotti Grey dress!

Two Men with a Vision

Alex and Shangqian (SQ) from Coupe Cousu as we lovingly call them are the next generation of talented menswear designer in the market now filling the gap for really crisp, well tailored shirts and pants! I especially love their white shirts (Hot Seller!!) and their colour block cardigans! Not only are they really down to earth in person, they took a bold step out of their banking and accounting careers to pursue their love in fashion!

But I must say I am most impressed with their new blog, it's chic and info packed for the New man of today!

Meet Miss Glitzy and Dot!

Miss Glitzy and Dot from Fashion Nation came by our shop earlier on! We are so thrilled as Dot will be wearing some of our creations for Audi Fashion Festival:) Here she is in Francesa white dress and me in Carrie white skirt. I have to gush that Miss Glitzy is really very tall and way lovely in person too!!
